Note
Each year NARS receives numerous donation requests from worthy organizations. We evaluate and give each request individual consideration; unfortunately we cannot accommodate every request received. We sometimes must decline many meaningful appeals in favor of others that align with our commitment to serve the communities in which we work or because we simply have already allocated our budgeted funds. Please keep in mind that most of our charitable donation budget is allocated in the Fourth Quarter and we ask that you send your request at least two months prior to your event for our evaluation and consideration.

NARS - 2008 Buehrle Golf Classic Title Sponsor. For the 18th consecutive year, co-chairs Christopher and Becky Buehrle hosted the Buehrle Golf Classic, a charity golf tournament held to raise funds for the fight against cancer, in memory of Sharon Buehrle. Over the years, this tournament has provided its participants with an opportunity to enjoy a great day of golf and camaraderie while contributing to the advancement of cancer research.
All net proceeds from the tournament benefit the John Wayne Cancer Institute (www.jwci.org), a leader in cancer research. For the sixth consecutive year, the tournament was held at The Missouri Bluffs Golf Club (www.mobluffs.com), an outstanding facility in St. Charles, Missouri. The event was held on Saturday August 9, 2008 and raised just over $120,000 for cancer research.
Mark your calendars for the 2009 tournament, once again title sponsored by NARS. The 19th Annual Buehrle Golf Classic will be held at The Missouri Bluffs Golf Club on Saturday, August 8, 2009 with two shot gun starts. Visit the tournament website at www.BuehrleGolfClassic.com for more information.

December 24, 2007 - NARS Corporate Headquarters held a "Cash for Casual Days" fundraiser
from November through December to raise money for St. Vincent Home for Children
(www.saintvincenthome.org).
Through our generous employee contributions and NARS' dollar match, we raised over $1200 for the
children in their care which provided them with winter coats and funds for fun outings for the
children this holiday season.
Working with Midtown Catholic Community Services, NARS helps support the needy in its headquarters
city of Saint Louis, Missouri. In 2003, NARS adopted a group of 31 seven- and eight-year-old
children and a family of six in 2004. Through generous employee
contributions matched by NARS, the family and children experienced a joyous Christmas holiday
that included more than 200 pounds of food, toys, clothing and warm winter coats. The 31 children
each received large gift bags filled with age appropriate toys, books, McDonald's gift certificates,
and art and crafts supplies.
Panama City, Panama
NARS is a proud sponsor of Apaniquem, the Panama Association for the Assistance of Burned Children.
This sponsorship assisted the efforts to construct a new treatment center that provides therapy for
hundreds of seriously burned children in Panama. Since inception of the burn unit, NARS has continued
our annual financial commitment to support the burn unit in its efforts to assist Panama’s children.
Each year, NARS Panama employees also host a Holiday Party complete with decorations and gifts for
each of the children.
Montego Bay, Jamaica
Following the devastation caused by hurricane Ivan in 2004, NARS contributed
more than $40,000 to repair two schools and a daycare center in Montego Bay,
Jamaica. NARS paid to replace the storm damaged roof on the Albioin Primary and
Junior High School and purchased new equipment, furnishing and supplies for the
Granville Daycare Centre. In addition to helping these institutions, NARS also
assisted its Montego Bay employees affected by the power storm by providing
groceries and payroll advances.
